Craftbrewers Convention in Chicago this week

Curtis posting. I sort of crashed a beer tasting and reception event yesterday in Chicago that was held in conjunction with the national Craftbrewers Convention that is in Chicago this week. My cousin-in-law David works in the craft beer business in Georgia and I wing-manned for him. The coolest part was getting to meet the brew master of North Coast Brewing Company, Mark Ruedrich. He started out as a home brewer of course. At the tasting, I got to sample almost every beer in their line-up. My favorite was Pranqster - a Belgian Style Golden Ale. I also tried two versions of Old Rasputin - first the Old Rasputin, (Russian Imperial Stout) then their rare Old Rasputin XII - aged in Bourbon barrels.
