Drunk Monk Competition

Hello everyone,
I just wanted to update everyone on the Drunk Monk competition that Mark, Dave and I attended yesterday. We had a great time and learned a lot. All of us were paired up with certified judges so we learned a lot about evaluating beers and how competitions work. All three of us would highly recommend giving it a try. We enjoyed it enough that we also discussed getting a group together to study for and take the BJCP exam, possibly in August. We will talk about this at the next meeting. Congratulations are in order for Dave Fetty whose Oktoberfest took 3rd in its category and his Belgian Strong Dark Ale took 2nd in its category. My ESB also took second in its category.
